SUOMI HTS

SUOMI HTS - linoleic hybrid of sunflower, an early ripeness group, with good yield potential. It belongs to the moderate-intensive type of adaptability, developed by the breeders of the Syngenta company. 

It maintains consistently high yields, regardless of the timing of the sowing campaign, and is flexible in terms of growing conditions. In Ukraine, it is indicated for breeding in farms of most territorial and climatic zones: Polesie, steppe (northern part with good moisture) and forest-steppe regions. 

It is characterized by high initial growth energy, which helps to quickly form an adult plant. It does not show a tendency to lodging, it is bred taking into account possible operation in conditions of infestation of fields with parasitic and weedy plants. It is tolerant to the seven main races of contagion (A – G), as well as to some new forms of it. Optimized for herbicidal treatment with the use of the drug Express® from the FMC developer. 

It effectively resists the defeat of the main sunflower diseases: phomopsis, powdery mildew, sclerotiniosis (in all known forms), as well as other diseases. 

The yield figures recorded in 2020 range from 27.7 C/Ha to 42.5 C/Ha. The achene of this hybrid is characterized by an increased content of the oilseed component, reaching 52%. An important characteristic of SUOMI HTS is the good pollination of the basket. 

At the ripening stage, before the start of harvesting, the following densities of standing plants in the fields are recommended:

• In areas of unstable moisture 45 – 50 thousand units/Ha;
• In areas of sufficient moisture content of 50-55 thousand units/Ha;
• There are no clear recommendations for areas with insufficient moisture;
