Rapeseed is one of the highest-margin oilseeds. It adapts perfectly to local climatic conditions, as well as soils. The composition of the grains of this crop is approximately as follows: they contain about 50% oil, 7% fiber and 30% protein, and the rest is accounted for by extractive substances. How to choose rapeseed seeds?
First of all, you need to choose the type of culture:
- Winter rapeseed is sown in late summer with the expectation that a rosette about 25 cm high will grow by the beginning of the cold season. It has a short growing season. It is sown to prepare green fodder for livestock, as well as to produce rapeseed honey.
- Spring. This plant has a long daylight hours, so sowing is carried out in the spring. The growing season falls on the summer season, because rapeseed is sensitive to low temperatures. It can be grown 2-3 times during the season.
