Sunflower Magnum is an early-ripening, high-yielding simple hybrid that easily adapts to stressful conditions and is unpretentious to the type and level of soil moisture. Features and characteristics of Magnum sunflower

Magnum sunflower seeds have the following features and characteristics:

  • is a simple hybrid of an early ripening type;
  • presented in the Standard and Extra factions;
  • the growing season is 105 - 110 days;
  • drought resistance - very high;
  • plant height up to 178 cm;
  • basket with a diameter of 26 cm, half drooping, flat;
  • oil content in grain up to 50% (the hybrid is an oilseed species);
  • yield potential - 55 c/ha, actual yield - up to 45 c/ha, average yield over the years of testing - 34 c/ha;
  • the number of seeds in a bag is 150 thousand.
    Growing Magnum sunflowers
    Sunflower hybrid Magnum It is necessary to sow sunflower when the average daily temperature exceeds +5 degrees Celsius. The hybrid was developed for Granstar, that is, it can be treated with herbicides in the early stages of the growing season without harming the crop. This allows you to fight dicotyledonous and cereal weeds and provide conditions for active crop growth.

With sufficient moisture at the time of harvest, the recommended number of plants per hectare is 55 - 60 thousand; with moderate moisture, a good harvest will be in the amount of 50 - 55 thousand; in conditions of insufficient soil moisture - up to 50 thousand per hectare.

 

Resistance to diseases and stressful situations

Sunflower hybrid Magnum is very resistant to:

high temperatures;
drought, cold temperatures and high humidity;
falling and lodging even under the influence of adverse weather conditions;
Phomosis, Phomopsis, rust;
downy mildew, gray and white rot.
