Queen prefers sandier soil but does well without it. She yields well inder lower populations. Queen has excellent ear flex and is very stress tolerant. 

Planting: Queen works well across a range of planting populations from low to high, but she really excels at low to medium populations. Queen prefers a medium-light soil.

Early Season: Queen has strong early vigor with a fast growth rate. She will develop a massive root system. 

Mid Season: Queen flowers early for maturity and has a longer grain-filling period. The earl placement is low.

Late Season: Queen is a shorter hybrid that stands well. Queen is prolific and can develop two large ears per plant.

Harvest: Queen is slower to dry down. She stands well and can wait for harvest. The grain has average testweight.
