Mechanism of action
Flocumafen, like most rodenticides - coumarin derivatives - acts on the blood clotting mechanism. The main site of action of anticoagulants is the liver, where only in the presence of vitamin K1 a number of blood clotting proteins are activated. Flocumafen, once in the body, suppresses the regeneration process of vitamin K1, which in turn leads to the cessation of protein synthesis for normal blood clotting. When the amount of proteins in the blood decreases to 20% of normal, an anticoagulant effect occurs. Death from extensive bleeding occurs within 3-10 days.

<li>Places for placing baits should be inaccessible to children, as well as animals, birds, including domestic animals, which should not be destroyed. All baits should be covered to make it difficult for animals and birds to access them;</li>
<li>To exterminate rats, bait placement points are usually located at a distance of 10-15 m, and in case of heavy rodent infestation - even at a distance of 5 m;</li>
<li>To kill mice, baits should be placed at a closer distance, sometimes up to 3 m;</li>
<li>Rats and mice die within 4-8 days from a single meal of rodenticide. Therefore, it is advisable to replace baits after 7-10 days. This period ensures that rodents that eat the bait during the first baiting are either already dead or will have died by the time of the second baiting. Baits should be renewed only if the previous ones are eaten;</li>
<li>All remains of baits and dead rodents should be burned or buried only in special places. Rodent outbreaks are completely cleared within three weeks;</li>
<li>On days 5-7 after treatment, wax briquettes are replenished as needed.</li>

Механизм действия

Флокумафен, как и большинство родентицидов &ndash; производных кумарина &ndash; действует на механизм свертывания крови. Основным местом действия антикоагулянтов является печень, где только в присутствии витамина К1 активируется ряд белков свертывания крови. Флокумафен, попав в организм, подавляет процесс регенерации витамина К1, что в свою очередь ведет к прекращению синтеза белков для нормального свертывания крови. Когда количество белков в крови снижается до 20% от нормального проявляется антикоагулянтный эффект. Смерть от обширного кровотечения наступает на 3-10 дней.

	<li>Места для раскладок приманок должны быть недоступны для детей, а также для животных, птиц, в том числе домашних животных, которые не должны быть уничтожены. Все приманки следует прикрывать, чтобы усложнить доступ к ним животных и птиц;</li>
	<li>Для уничтожения крыс точки размещения приманок обычно располагают на расстоянии 10-15 м, а при сильной заселенности грызунами &ndash; даже на расстоянии 5 м;</li>
	<li>Для уничтожения мышей приманки следует раскладывать на более близком расстоянии, иногда до 3 м;</li>
	<li>Крысы и мыши погибают в течение 4-8 дней от однократного поедания родентицида. Поэтому замену приманок целесообразно осуществлять через 7-10 дней. Указанный период гарантирует, что грызуны, съевшие приманку во время первого травления, либо уже мертвы, либо погибнут к моменту второго травления. Приманки следует возобновлять только в случае поедания прежних;</li>
	<li>Все остатки приманок и погибших грызунов следует сжигать или закапывать только в специальных местах. Очаги распространения грызунов полностью очищаются в течение трех недель;</li>
	<li>На 5-7 день после обработки восковые брикеты восполняются по мере необходимости.</li>
