Шторм 0,005 %, восковые брикеты

Шторм 0,005 %, восковые брикеты

Advantages

  • The bait in the form of wax briquettes is already ready for use;
  • The drug is readily eaten by rodents, thanks to special flavoring additives;
  • Does not cause fear of bait in rodents, especially rats, since their death occurs on the 7th – 10th day, which eliminates the transmission of an alarm signal;
  • Unattractive to birds and other animals, since the blue color of the briquette is not associated with food;
  • The blue dye Bitrex contained in the briquette causes, if the bait is accidentally eaten by non-target animals, the coloring of their saliva and areas of skin around the mouth, which allows timely first aid measures to be taken - the use of an antidote (vitamin K);
  • Easy to use: does not mold, does not get wet, does not accumulate foreign odors - always attractive to rodents;
  • The optimal size and shape of the briquette increases its effectiveness in the fight against rodents, especially rats, as it allows them to carry briquettes into burrows and poison individuals that do not come to the surface - young animals, etc.;
  • Destroys rodents that are resistant to other baits.

Mechanism of action

Flocumafen, like most rodenticides - coumarin derivatives - acts on the blood clotting mechanism. The main site of action of anticoagulants is the liver, where only in the presence of vitamin K1 a number of blood clotting proteins are activated. Flocumafen, once in the body, suppresses the regeneration process of vitamin K1, which in turn leads to the cessation of protein synthesis for normal blood clotting. When the amount of proteins in the blood decreases to 20% of normal, an anticoagulant effect occurs. Death from extensive bleeding occurs within 3-10 days.

Active substance

Flocumafen (0.05 g/kg)

Preparative form

Briquettes (B)

Chemical class

Blood anticoagulants

Methods of application

From the beginning of settlement, from 3 to 5 meters between the layout points, depending on the number of rodents, adding the drug as the rodents eat it for 2 weeks.

Duration of effect manifestation (notes)

Death from extensive bleeding occurs within 3-10 days.

Recommendations for use

  • The drug is ready for use and does not require any dilution with other feeds;
  • To achieve maximum effectiveness of the drug, it is necessary, on the eve of its layout, to examine the entire territory in order to determine the best points for placing baits - places of shelter and feeding of rodent pests, their passages and holes in the floor, walls, foundation and heap of garbage, as well as sources of water, which is especially important to fight rats;
  • Places for placing baits should be inaccessible to children, as well as animals, birds, including domestic animals, which should not be destroyed. All baits should be covered to make it difficult for animals and birds to access them;
  • To exterminate rats, bait placement points are usually located at a distance of 10-15 m, and in case of heavy rodent infestation - even at a distance of 5 m;
  • To kill mice, baits should be placed at a closer distance, sometimes up to 3 m;
  • Rats and mice die within 4-8 days from a single meal of rodenticide. Therefore, it is advisable to replace baits after 7-10 days. This period ensures that rodents that eat the bait during the first baiting are either already dead or will have died by the time of the second baiting. Baits should be renewed only if the previous ones are eaten;
  • All remains of baits and dead rodents should be burned or buried only in special places. Rodent outbreaks are completely cleared within three weeks;
  • On days 5-7 after treatment, wax briquettes are replenished as needed.
