Purpose

Systemic fungicide with a long period of protection against diseases of wheat, spring barley, flax, peas, chickpeas, soybeans.

Mechanism of action

Systemic fungicide with protective, curative and eradicating action. Azole fungicides inhibit the process of demethylation of sterol biosynthesis and disrupt the selectivity of the permeability of cell membranes of the pathogen. Tebucanozole (as well as prothioconazole) moves through the xylem inside the plant, faster than prothioconazole, penetrates through the waxy layer into the plant and is distributed internally, ensuring a rapid onset of action. The distribution in the leaf is uniform with pronounced accumulation closer to the end of the leaf. Prothioconazole (as well as tebuconazole) moves through the xylem within the plant more slowly than tebuconazole penetrates the plant and is distributed internally, providing a longer lasting effect. Both active substances belong to the group of triazoles (prothioconazole is a subgroup of triazolinthiones) and inhibit the biosynthesis of sterols, disrupting the integrity of the cell walls of pathogens.
