Purpose

Highly selective herbicide for use on crops of spring and winter wheat, flax, corn and spring barley against annual and some perennial dicotyledonous weeds.

Mechanism of action

Systemic herbicide. Quickly absorbed by the leaf surface and, to a lesser extent, by the root system of plants, it is able to move freely along with nutrients and accumulate at growth points. Iodosulfuron and amidosulfuron inhibit the enzyme acetolactate synthase, which is involved in the synthesis of several amino acids.

Preparative form

Oil dispersion containing 25 g/l iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium, 100 g/l amidosulfuron, 250 g/l mefenpyr-diethyl (antidote).

Methods of application

Spraying crops in the phase of 2 - 3 leaves - the beginning of tillering of the crop and the early phases of weed growth (2-4 leaves). In case of reseeding, it is recommended to sow grains, corn, and flax in the year of application. It is not recommended to sow winter spring rapeseed in the year of application, as well as sunflower, spring spring rapeseed, beets, buckwheat, legumes and vegetables the following year.

Duration of effect manifestation (notes)

Active growth of sensitive weeds and competition with the crop stops within a few hours after treatment with Secateur® Turbo. In the first 5–7 days, yellowing of the leaves of susceptible weeds occurs; after 10–14 days, chlorotic spots form and growing points die, and death occurs within 3–5 weeks after spraying, depending on weather conditions.
