Purpose

Pre-emergence herbicide for the control of a wide range of monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds in vegetable and sunflower crops.

Mechanism of action

Water-based microencapsulated formulation. Thanks to microcapsules, the active substance of the herbicide STOMP® PROFESSIONAL, when it reaches the soil surface, is gradually released, thereby prolonging the herbicidal activity of the drug. Pendimethalin is absorbed by the roots and shoots of germinating weeds and inhibits meristem cell division. Weeds exposed to the herbicide die soon after germination or after emergence.

STOMP forms a strong herbicidal screen within 24 - 48 hours after treatment and is subsequently not washed out of the top layer of soil - this is due to the particularly effective action of the drug as a soil herbicide.

Recommendations for use

• The maximum rate of 6 l/ha is used when applying the drug on heavy clay soils. If 10-20 mm of rain falls within five days after application, the herbicidal effect will increase and mechanical sealing will not be required;
• After applying STOMP, at least 24 hours must pass before precipitation;
• It is not recommended to use minimum application rates if there is a risk of spring drought;
• Not recommended for use on peaty soils (due to high adsorption);
• The soil for sowing should be finely ground (without clods) and leveled;
• The soil must be moistened to dissolve the active substance and create a herbicidal screen;
• The active substance of the drug should not be allowed to enter the germinal zone, i.e. A uniform sowing depth of 2-3 cm is required.
