Mechanism of action

A local-systemic broad-spectrum fungicide to combat diseases of fruit, vegetable crops and grapes. Kresoxim-methyl inhibits the process of mitochondrial respiration in fungal cells, and is also the first active ingredient from the group of strobilurins. After treatment, it is evenly distributed over the surface of the plant and partially inside it. Part of the active substance forms stable reserves on the waxy coating of the plant, which ensures high resistance of the drug to the action of precipitation. Continuous release and redistribution of the active substance occurs over several weeks. Another part of the active substance penetrates the plant tissue and has translaminar activity, which also increases its effectiveness.

Recommendations for use

• In order to prevent the development of resistance, all drugs of the strobilurin class are recommended to be used in a tank mixture with fungicides with a different mechanism of action (contact fungicides);
• To achieve a high protective effect, it is necessary to use STROBI fungicide prophylactically in a system with other fungicides;
• The recommended interval between treatments is 8-12 days, depending on weather conditions and the infectious background.
