EURO-LIGHTNING Plus

Intended Use

A new-generation two-component herbicide for the control of a wide range of weeds in the Clearfield® Plus system.

Mechanism of Action

The herbicide inhibits the acetolactate synthase (ALS) enzyme, which is found only in plants and certain microorganisms and is absent in animals. ALS is responsible for the synthesis of the essential amino acids valine, leucine, and isoleucine. Inhibition of this enzyme blocks the synthesis of these amino acids, resulting in the cessation of protein synthesis and ultimately the death of susceptible weeds.

Directions for Application

Depending on field conditions, the recommended application rate of EURO-LIGHTNING Plus ranges from 1.6 to 2.5 L/ha.
At an application rate of 1.6 L/ha, EURO-LIGHTNING Plus ensures:

effective control of a wide range of weeds;
reduced pesticide load on the soil, making it more suitable for arid regions;
enhanced efficacy compared with conventional herbicides.
At an application rate of 2.0 L/ha, EURO-LIGHTNING Plus ensures:

superior control of weeds, including hard-to-control species;
effective control of broomrape (Orobanche spp.);
higher yield potential.
It is not recommended to apply the herbicide in tank mixtures with liquid fertilizers or micronutrient products.
