Purpose

For reliable protection against the Colorado potato beetle and insect pests on vegetable crops.

Mechanism of action

Metaflumizone acts directly on key enzymes and blocks the conduction of impulses through the sodium channel of the insect's nervous system, which leads to overexcitation of the insect's nervous system, and ultimately to paralysis and death of the pest. It also has the additional effect of completely stopping feeding on the leaves of the plant.

Recommendations for use

In order to prevent the development of resistance in the Colorado potato beetle (with active monitoring of resistance), ALVERDE should be used alternately with insecticides from other classes. In regions where the Colorado potato beetle population is resistant to pyrethroids, neonicotinoids and other classes of active substances, and when two generations appear per year, it is recommended to carry out one of the treatments with ALVERDE;
ALVERDE should be used when the pest exceeds the EPV, but not earlier than the phase of full germination (plant height 5-10 cm) and no later than 20 days before harvesting. If the timing of treatment against the Colorado potato beetle and against potato diseases (late blight, alternaria) coincides, the ALVERDE insecticide can be used together with the fungicides ACROBATE MC, BELLIS.
