Mechanism of action

The active ingredients of the BELLIS fungicide belong to different chemical groups and have different mechanisms of action on the pathogen. Boscalid belongs to the chemical group of carboxamides and has a new, unique mechanism of action - inhibition of succinate dehydrogenase in the mitochondrial electron transport chain. Boscalid blocks the key stage of cell respiration in complex II, as a result of which it causes a disruption in the electron transport chain in the mitochondria of the fungus, which causes a disruption in the energy supply of pathogens. The mechanism of action of pyraclostrobin is based on inhibition of the mitochondrial respiration cycle in respiratory complex III. Pyraclostrobin blocks the energy saving of fungal cells and at the same time the life processes associated with this function. Spore germination and germ tube growth are inhibited, and the formation of appressoria is blocked.

Methods of application

Spraying during the growing season from the bud separation phase to the “formed fruit” phase with an interval of 10-14 days.

Duration of effect manifestation (notes)

It is most effective when used prophylactically. It is optimal to use it even before the appearance of primary signs of infection during the most likely period for the spread of the disease.

Recommendations for use

• The fungicide is most effective when used prophylactically. Therefore, for optimal protection, it is recommended to use BELLIS even before the appearance of the primary signs of infections during the most likely period for the spread of the disease;
• Scab and powdery mildew. Treatment with BELLIS must be planned in the spraying schedule from the moment the buds appear - the beginning of flowering. In this case, effective protection will be provided against both scab and powdery mildew.
• Storage diseases. Treatment with BELLIS fungicide must be carried out during the period of fruit ripening and 10 days before harvesting.
