MODE OF ACTION AND APPLICATION RECOMMENDATIONS
Principal® Plus is a systemic post-emergence herbicide designed to protect corn crops. After application, the active ingredients are rapidly absorbed through the leaves and translocated via the plant's vascular system to the growing points, where they inhibit cell division and stop further weed development. As a result, susceptible weeds cease growing, gradually wilt, and eventually die.
The product is recommended for use in fields with moderate to heavy weed infestations, as well as where difficult-to-control perennial and problematic weed species are present. The highest level of efficacy is achieved when weeds are actively growing at the time of application.
To prepare the spray solution, fill the sprayer tank with water and, while maintaining continuous agitation, add the required amount of Principal® Plus. The use of Vivolt® adjuvant at a rate of 300 mL/ha is recommended as an essential component to improve leaf coverage and enhance herbicide performance. Where additional control of grass weeds is required, 3–5 kg/ha of ammonium nitrate or urea may be added to the spray solution.
Spraying is recommended during the morning or evening hours under calm weather conditions. For maximum performance, use air-induction nozzles and apply 250–300 L/ha of spray solution to ensure uniform coverage of the leaf surface.
Once the spray solution has dried, the product becomes rainfast within 3 hours after application.
If inter-row cultivation is required, it should be carried out no earlier than 7–12 days after herbicide application.
