DIMILIN 48%, s.k.
Recommendations for use
Dimilin 48% SC has a predominantly intestinal effect. When eating it, insects lose activity, after 2-3 days they stop feeding (although outwardly they seem quite viable) and no longer pose a danger to plants. The result of treatment with the drug is that the larvae lose their ability to molt. The larvae cannot get rid of the old cover and die when moving to the next stage. Young larvae are more sensitive to the drug.
The drug also exhibits ovicidal properties, both in direct contact with eggs and when females lay eggs on treated surfaces. The greatest effect is achieved when spraying shortly before egg laying. This type of control is commonly used against codling moth and leaf miners.
Optimal period of application: from the beginning of oviposition until the appearance of younger larvae (caterpillars).
The drug does not have a direct toxic effect on adult individuals, where the processes of chitin formation are almost complete. But treatment of females leads to a significant decrease in reproductive potential, resulting in the appearance of sterile individuals and a sharp increase in the death of embryos in laid eggs.
The insecticide has a long-lasting protective effect, remaining on plants for more than a month. Typically, one application is sufficient to control a complex of early spring leaf-eating pests.
Consumption of working solution: 100-1200 l/ha for ground spraying.
