Mechanism of action

Herbastar, V.D.G. is a systemic herbicide for the control of difficult—to-root weeds of the family Compositaceae (osot, bodyak, and others).
Clopiralide is a synthetic analogue of a natural plant hormone. It easily penetrates the plant through the leaves (and also partially through the root system), quickly moves through all tissues of the weed, including roots and rhizomes.
The drug disrupts the processes of cell growth and respiration, which leads to the cessation of growth and subsequent death of weeds. Growth suppression begins within a few hours after treatment. The first visible symptoms (deformation of leaves and stems) appear 12-18 hours after application.

Rules of application

Spraying of crops is carried out in the phase of 1-3 pairs of real crop leaves.

Compatibility with other drugs

Herbastar, V.D.G. It is allowed for use in tank mixtures with other pesticides, with the exception of insecticides of the FOS group. It is recommended to check the physical compatibility of the drugs before use.

The period of protective action

In the absence of a second wave of weeds, crops are cleared of annual weeds for the entire growing season.

Phytotoxicity

If the recommended application regulations are followed, the drug is not phytotoxic for regulated crops.
