Mechanism of action
Orient 25, M.D. - The active ingredient of the herbicide inhibits the synthesis of the enzyme acetolactate synthase (ALS) in sensitive weed species. This causes growth to stop within a few hours after treatment. Visual symptoms of the drug's effect on weeds (chlorosis, wilting, root growth arrest and browning) usually appear after 3-7 days, and complete weed death occurs after 2-4 weeks.
Methods and timing of drug use
Orient 25, md. - Before preparing a working solution from a mixture of drugs, it is recommended to check their physical compatibility in a small container. Follow the regulations for the use of all preparations of the mixture. Combined use with propanyl-based drugs is not recommended.
The period of protective action
Provided it gets into the soil, it is able to restrain a new wave of sensitive weeds for up to 4 weeks after treatment. Under favorable conditions, the effect of the herbicide persists throughout the growing season.
Phytotoxicity
In compliance with the recommended application regulations, Orient 25, MD is not phytotoxic for rice.
