Mechanism of action
The high effectiveness of the fungicide Amethyst, S.K. is due to the combination of two active substances with different mechanisms of action on pathogens.
Azoxystrobin is characterized by a long—lasting protective effect. It has a positive effect on young plants, increases nitrogen uptake by slowing down the inactivation of nitrate reductase, reduces water evaporation by regulating stomatal closure processes and enhancing carbon dioxide assimilation, which is especially important during the drought period.
Ciproconazole — inhibits the biosynthesis of steroids, including ergosterol, in fungal cells by inhibiting C-14 demethylation by interaction with cytochrome P-450. Unlike other inhibitors of steroid biosynthesis (triazoles), ciproconazole has a broader spectrum of action due to its physico-chemical properties, penetration and movement in plants.
The active ingredients of the fungicide Amethyst, S.K. act on pathogens at all stages of its development — from the moment of penetration into the plant, growth and development inside the plant to the formation of spores.
The maximum effect of the application is achieved by preventive treatments before the mass penetration of infection into plants.
The period of protective action
The drug protects plants from diseases for 3-4 weeks, depending on the crop, the degree of damage, environmental conditions and the phase of plant development.
