GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Demeter is a systemic post—emergence herbicide designed to effectively control weeds in agricultural crops. The drug is quickly absorbed by the leaves of weeds, partially absorbed by the roots from the soil and actively moves throughout the plant, including the growth points.

Due to its pronounced systemic effect, the herbicide disrupts the growth and development of sensitive weeds, causing their rapid suppression and subsequent death. A particularly high effect is achieved when treated in the early phases of weed vegetation development.

The active substance of Demeter is quickly absorbed by the leaves of weeds within one hour, and is also partially absorbed by the roots of plants from the soil. After penetration, the drug actively moves through the phloem and xylem, is distributed throughout the plant, including growth points, and disrupts cell development.

According to the mechanism of action, fluroxypyr is similar to the natural plant hormone indolylacetic acid. It causes an imbalance of growth hormones in the meristem tissues of weeds, which leads to disruption of cell division, stunting and subsequent death of plants.
