Mechanism of action

The active ingredient of demetra is quickly, within 1 hour, absorbed by the leaves of weeds, and is also partially absorbed by the roots of plants from the soil. It actively moves through the phloem and xylem, is distributed throughout the plant, including growth points, disrupts the development of plant cells and affects growth processes in general. According to the principle of action, fluroxypyr is similar to the natural plant hormone - indolylacetic acid. It provokes an imbalance of growth hormones in the weed meristems. They are oversaturated with synthetic hormone, which leads to disruption of cell division and growth.

Methods of application

Spraying crops in the tillering phase of the crop and the early phases of weed growth. Winter crops are processed in the spring.

The first signs of inhibition of weeds under favorable conditions appear a few hours after the application of the herbicide; their complete death occurs after 2 - 3 weeks.
