Mechanism of action

Dublon gold has a systemic selective effect. The active substances penetrate the weeds through the leaves and roots, are absorbed by them and move throughout the plant through the xylem and phloem. They inhibit the enzyme acetolactate synthase, which is involved in the synthesis of the essential amino acids leucine, isoleucine and valine. As a result, a deficiency of these acids is created in the plant, which causes disruption of the process of cell division, growth arrest and subsequent death of weeds.

Duration of effect manifestation (notes)

the herbicide enters the plants quite quickly (approximately within 4 hours after treatment). The growth of weeds slows down within a few hours after they absorb the drug, but visible symptoms are observed 5 to 10 days after treatment.
