Purpose

Innovative highly effective strobilurin-containing fungicide for the protection of grains, legumes and oilseeds with AgCelence effect.

Mechanism of action

The active ingredient pyraclostrobin in OPTIMO inhibits mitochondrial respiration of pathogenic fungi. The consequence of this is a significant decrease in cellular energy (ATP) used to maintain the vital functions of pathogens, leading to their death. Pyraclostrobin is firmly fixed in the cuticle and penetrates the leaf. Some molecules penetrate quickly, while others are released gradually, providing long-lasting protection.

Methods of application

Spraying during the growing season is preventive or when the first signs of disease appear in the phase of visible formation of internodes or sweeping out of cob threads.

Recommendations for use

• The physiological effect of the drug is expressed in more active use of nitrogen, inhibition of ethylene synthesis (aging hormone), increased drought resistance, and greening effect (without prolonging the growing season).
• On grain crops: apply OPTIMO (0.6 l/ha) preventively in the phase at stage 25-32 on the BBSN scale (with double treatment with fungicides).
• On flax: apply in the budding phase (28 VSN) - beginning of flowering (42 VSN). Early treatment is preferred as preventative protection during this time period.
• On oilseed sunflower: in the presence of low and medium infectious background, it is recommended:

- on varieties, preventive treatment with OPTIMO (0.5 - 0.75 l/ha_ in the phase of 6-8 true leaves (16 - 18 VVSN) until the phase of end of budding (VVSN 59) - beginning of flowering (VVSN 61).

- on hybrids, preventive treatment with OPTIMO (0.5 - 0.75 l/ha) at the beginning of growth in length, the “2nd internode” phase (32 VVSN) until the end of budding (VVSN 59) - the beginning of flowering (VVSN 61) phase .

On seed plots and high-oleic sunflower: as the first fungicidal protection, apply preventively in the early stages of OPTIMO (0. - 0.75 l/ha) in the “6 leaves” phase (16 VSN) to the “9 internodes” phase (39 VSN), providing protection until the end of sunflower growth in length.
